Chinese new energy industry rises Lithium batteries account for 60% of the global market

In recent years, China's new energy industry has risen. The reporter learned from the organizer of the 2018 Third Asia-Pacific Battery Show on the 23rd that China’s current lithium battery market share has exceeded 60%, surpassing Japan and South Korea, and winning the first place in the world. Although the new energy subsidy policy has continued to adjust, the pressure on the power battery in the upstream of the industrial chain has risen sharply; however, new energy vehicles will continue to be the main driving force for the growth of lithium battery output. The industry expects that by 2020, China's battery capacity will account for more than 70% of the global market share.

Beyond Japan and South Korea ranks first in the world

As a new energy industry supported and developed by the country, China's lithium battery has created a new pattern in the world market. According to organizers of the Asia-Pacific Battery Show, China's power battery shipments last year alone reached 44.5GWh, up 12% year-on-year; of which three yuan power batteries have risen suddenly, and the installed capacity has soared to 16.56GWh, which has increased by 165% year-on-year, and Ningde has emerged. Times, BYD, Waterma and other star companies with installed capacity exceeding 1GWh.

Although the country's new energy subsidy policy continues to adjust, this year's subsidy policy has further shrunk. Switching from a policy-driven to a market-led channel as soon as possible has become a difficult problem for new energy vehicles and battery industries. However, industry experts believe that the lithium battery industry is promising. Broad, new energy vehicles will continue to drive the growth of lithium battery production in the next three to five years. With regard to the further improvement of industry standards and subsidy thresholds, related companies must continuously upgrade their core technologies.

Domestic brands are quite similar to Matsushita

According to statistics from the China Research Institute's Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, the Ningde era currently accounts for nearly 30% of the domestic automotive battery market, and its market share has surpassed that of BYD, which is comparable to Matsushita. The Securities Regulatory Commission issued an announcement showing that the IPO has recently been approved in the Ningde era, plans to raise 13.1 billion yuan to build new factories to increase production capacity and technology research and development, and Panasonic will compete with the lithium battery market in the future.

"At present, China, as the world's largest power battery producer, is attracting more and more overseas businesses to expand its market." Organizer of Asia-Pacific Battery Show said that the forthcoming Asia Pacific Battery Show to be held in Guangzhou in August will have global Over 800 companies in more than 50 countries participated in the exhibition and more than 1,000 new products were collected. Registered buyers also came from more than 20 countries including Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia. International giants such as LG, Jaguar Land Rover, and Tesla also purchased.
