Closely in contact with the inside of the shell is a positive electrode ring (cathode) made of electrolytic manganese dioxide, graphite and carbon black. The middle is filled with a zinc paste prepared from zinc powder and a caustic soda solution, ie, a negative electrode paste (anode) having a brass current collector interposed therein. The positive and negative electrodes are isolated by an alkali-resistant pipe. The negative electrode current collector and the negative electrode cap are welded and sleeved into a plastic seal. The assembly is inserted into the steel shell and crimped and sealed. The steel shell is wrapped with a heat-shrinkable film trademark to become a commercial battery. The structure and size specifications of the button-type alkaline manganese battery are basically the same as those of the zinc-silver button battery. The typical formula of the active material in the battery (mass): positive electrode is 90~92% of electrolytic manganese dioxide, graphite powder is 8~9%, acetylene carbon black is 0.5~1%; negative electrode is amalgam zinc powder 88~90%, zinc oxide 5 ~ 7%, CMC sodium salt 3 ~ 4%, KOH solution (plus) appropriate amount. The electrolyte is 8~12N KOH solution, in which the appropriate amount of zinc oxide is dissolved.
